CASTF participated in the 7th President Joint Meeting of Overseas Chinese Professional Associations

On September 12, 2016, CASTF participated in the 7th President Joint Meeting of Overseas Chinese Professional Associations, which was hosted by Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council and was undertaken by the Chengdu City Hall and the Sichuan Provincial Overseas Chinese Affairs Office. This joint meeting, whose theme was " innovation from million overseas Chinese, and hand in hand development", attracted 183 overseas Chinese professional community leaders attended which from 21 different countries in the world.

The Director of Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council Qiu Yuanping held a keynote speech at the opening ceremony, who particular emphasized that innovation leads China's new economic development, and try to catch the new round of China's development opportunities, driven by million overseas innovation platform around the World, relying on overseas Chinese professional People's Patriotic love, to achieve the Chinese dream. Overseas talent could achieve their own value during this period at the same time boost their homecountries' economic transformation via multi-channel, and enhance hometowns' scientific and technological innovation, along with the introduction of talent and international scientific and technological communication and cooperation.

In the afternoon, 183 overseas professional association presidents were divided into six groups to discuss separately on how to play the advantages of overseas community groups based on the main speech given by the Director Qiu Yuanping. CASTF’s President Xu Junhua on behalf of the fifth Research Group gave a summary report at the meeting.

CASTF chairman Xu Junhua was appointed as the director of Sichuan Overseas Exchange Association, and signed a framework cooperation agreement with Overseas Chinese Park of Tianjin Wuqing, Hebei Qinhuangdao Beidaihe and Hunan Changsha at this meeting.

Three representatives of Chinese Association in Finland attended the meeting , that is , CASTF's President Xu Junhua, President of Fenhua Culture and Economic Association Lin Lanchen and Representative of the the Chinese Life Sciences Association in Finland Dr. Hu Yizhou.
